"I am off to Mount Allison University this fall, so excited! I am going to be playing Varsity Soccer and I will be studying either International Relations or Psychology from what I know right now, but who knows!
Anyways, figured you might be curious as to where I decided, and I just wanted to say thanks again for all your work into helping me decide and narrow it down!"

I would like to thank you for coming over and having that discussion with me and my dad, it really helped to clear my head! I would also like to let you know that after it all I have chosen Queens, and couldn’t be more excited to be going! I thank you for that! You cleared up every concern I had."

Jane, thank you very much. I think that your assistance with Angelica helped bring to light her confusion about career choices. I have indicated to Angelica that if she needs to meet with you again to pursue further discussion and exploration, that I am quite willing to pay for this additional service. Again, thank you very much.

Hi Jane, I just wanted to thank you so much for helping Chelsea evaluate her options and guiding her through the university process. She received offers from all the schools she applied to including Wilfred Laurier and Brock , with scholarships to both as well. We just returned from visiting the schools and she accepted the offer from Wilfred Laurier in the Honours History program, with the thought that she will take a double major in English and then take the Education degree which they offer. This will give her many options. She is so excited to start the next chapter of her life.

I realized I needed career counselling when I saw the benefit my daughter was receiving through Jane’s guidance for her future career. I was going back to the workforce after a period of retirement and I knew this new job would be different than what I had done for many years. Jane had ideas and information and pages of resources to pass along. I made the right choice; I couldn’t wait to start working with her. It seemed like fun and I knew I would learn a lot about myself.
The personality quiz revealed to me new aspects of myself and what I was capable of, which I hadn’t claimed yet. I could acknowledge now what my greater strengths were. Through Jane I realized it was important to value what I wrongly interpreted as a personality flaw and was explained how each person represents a grouping of traits which tend to determine their performance in the world. We are all unique and appreciating this, is what makes us who we are and what we personally can offer an employer.
Jane understood my insecurities then proceeded to show me how the career I had done for so many years provided me with a multitude of important tools and skills very needed and desired by today’s employer.
I now had the awareness necessary to create the balance between past experiences meeting the expectations in the working world.
I feel like a professional going forward now as I have my personal resume prepared and a better understanding of my potential. Now I can represent myself with the confidence I may not have accessed if there were not great career counsellors like Jane to support and guide us toward success.
For anyone going back to work Jane is the beacon to lead you to your best so you can shine!
Thank you Jane,

Jane is fantastic. She is professional, attentive, and thorough, while still managing to connect with you on a one-on-one basis. I felt like she really cared about helping me figure out what I want to do for a career and not just a job, and was personally invested in me. I would highly recommend at the very least meeting with Jane if you have any questions, and will be recommending her services to anyone I know in the future that is in the same spot I was.

Making a career choice and ultimately a decision on where to study is huge – and potentially expensive – so you want to make sure the decision is a solid one that it is well thought out and researched.
Jane worked with our daughter, Stephanie and we are thrilled. She used a Type Focus Assessment, an on-line tool which Stephanie was able to complete on her own time. Jane then reviewed Stephanie’s interests, grade 12 courses, and post secondary choices (locations/programs, benefits and differences).
This assessment along with the one-on-one review allowed Stephanie to see where her strengths were and helped determine the types of careers she would be best suited for. Most importantly it confirmed her choice of program matched the results.
I am positive that anyone using Jane’s services would find them beneficial in the search for both a career and school/program. Her knowledge and ability to connect with teens is wonderful.

"It is a pleasure to recommend Jane and her career counselling services to my friends. As a trained educator and counsellor for youth and individuals in transition, Jane makes an instant connection with people. Immediately, you realize she is an intelligent and dedicated professional and a delightful person.
Our own daughter, Kelsey, went through Jane's counselling services before grade 12. Jane offered 4 aptitude tests which offered insight into Kelsey's unique talents, strengths and interests. With this "profile" Kelsey "career cruised" online to view a variety of university/college programs that suited her interests. She was made aware of scholarship opportunities, and, finally, Jane assisted Kelsey in creating a professional resume and ensured that her courses were in place for grade 12. And all of this was done in our own home around Kelsey's schedule.
It was a fabulous experience for our daughter who "hit the ground running" for her graduation year! Kelsey is very excited about life after high school! Kelsey's enthusiasm and motivation shows in her continued commitment to her grades and we believe it a direct result of Jane's professional services!"

I currently attend Quest University in Squamish; without the help of Jane Keresztes it is unlikely I would have ever thought to apply there. Her services as a career counselor proved extremely helpful in finding an academic institution that suited me. Jane assisted greatly by contacting student affairs, gathering additional information and weekly reminders of deadlines and updates for Quest as well as four other schools. I strongly recommend anyone unsure about their career path to take advantage of Jane Keresztes’ services.

"Jane really helped me on my journey of self discovery - Who I am today, where I want to go and most importantly, how to get there! By focusing in on my strengths and weaknesses, we were able to put a plan in motion; one that would work for me. Even though I am not where I want to be yet, I know I have the tools I need to get there. Thank you Jane!"

"Before working with Jane, our son was intent on applying to the business programs of our local universities. After a few sessions with Jane, it was clear that his interests and passions would be better served in an International Development program in a small Eastern Canada university. He is now thrilled with his choice to attend Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB working toward a double major in International Relations and Religious Studies. The scope of Jane's work helped drastically and positively change the direction of our son's university experience."
